Burnley chairman Alan Pace has revealed how fans charged the directors' box and told him to 'f*** off and go die' as they were relegated from the Premier League in May 2022.
The Clarets were relegated on the final day of the 2021-22 campaign - with Callum Wilson's brace for Newcastle sending them down to the Championship.
Pace was disappointed with the result but said he wasn't expecting the onslaught that would follow - claiming his family were targeted by the Burnley fans.
Things went from bad to worse for Pace when tight financial constraints led to the departures of key players like Ben Mee, James Tarkowski, Nick Pope, Dwight McNeil and Maxwel Cornet.
