Brighton and Hove Albion defender Gaetan Bong has been fined £667 plus court costs after pleading guilty to a speeding offence.
The 30-year-old was caught doing a 90mph in a 70mph zone of the A27 road near Shoreham, West Sussex in his Land Rover on December 29.
In addition to the punishment, Bong who does not have a UK driving license was given three points on his EU driving license where he already has six points.
During Tuesday’s court session, Bong’s lawyer Mark Haslam admitted that the defender was ‘driving too fast’ on his return from training.
