When Brighton took the lead through Solly March's low strike on the half-hour mark, some inside this stadium appeared to think Brighton were almost there. A goal up against a Huddersfield team on the slide and without a goal to their name in the month of March, salvation appeared in sight. That may have been the view of goalkeeper Matty Ryan, who ran from his goal to join the celebrations.
Yet in the Premier League, very little is straightforward and Brighton were instead pegged back, reduced to 10 men and ended up grateful for a solitary point. For Huddersfield, it was a precious one.
