Brendan Rodgers would NOT be a good fit at Man United due to his 'history with Liverpool', claims Steve McManaman, as pundit calls on Red Devils to go for Pochettino should they axe Solskjaer

Steve McManaman does not believe that Brendan Rodgers would be a good fit as Manchester United boss due to the Northern Irishman's 'history with Liverpool'.

Leicester manager Rodgers, 48, has been linked with the United hotseat with pressure growing on under-fire boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following the Red Devils' 2-0 defeat to Man City on Saturday.

United have lost out on Antonio Conte due to the Italian's move to Tottenham, leaving Rodgers and former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as the frontrunners for the post should United part ways with Solskjaer.
