Brendan Rodgers insists Derek McInnes has earned a crack at one of English football's top jobs.
McInnes left Bristol City in 2013 with the Robins rooted to the foot of the Championship.
However, after leading Aberdeen to three successive runner-up spots in the SPFL and a Scottish Cup Final, former Liverpool boss Rodgers insists McInnes has done a 'magnificent' job at Pittodrie and would deserve a second chance at English football.
Speaking before Celtic face the Pittodrie side twice in a fortnight, with an unbeaten run and a domestic treble on the line, the Parkhead boss said: 'It's just about timing.
