Bravo the world's best goalkeeper, says Pellegrini

The Chilean goalkeeper has come under criticism in the early days of his career at Manchester City, but the club's former coach is sure there is no one better in that position

Claudio Bravo is the best goalkeeper in the world, according to former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini.

The Chile international joined Pep Guardiola at City for a reported £17 million fee in August, having spent the previous two years at Barcelona.

Guardiola’s decision to recruit a new goalkeeper to displace Joe Hart in the first team, resulting in the England No.1 going on loan to Torino, was a controversial decision made more contentious by some underwhelming displays from Bravo.
