Brave Manchester City ball boy returns to club to meet idols Sergio Aguero and Pep Guardiola after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year

Former Manchester City ball boy Elliott Fernadez-Sanz, who had previously been told he would never walk again after being diagnosed with sarcoma cancer, got the opportunity to meet his idols at the club.

The 19-year-old was a ball boy at the Etihad for nine years before he was suddenly diagnosed with cancer. He was left on life support and was three hours from death.

Fascinatingly, Elliot played a pivotal role in City's remarkable Premier League winning campaign in 2012. He placed the ball on the corner spot ahead of Edin Dzeko's equaliser.

The club, working with the Willow Foundation, who grant wishes for seriously ill young adults, invited the 19-year-old to the City Football Academy where he met his idol Sergio Aguero.
