The U.S. national team goalkeeper will link up with the MLS expansion side after the Premier League season ends.
U.S. national team goalkeeper Brad Guzan will join Atlanta United from Middlesbrough after the Premier League season ends, the English club has announced.
Atlanta used its No. 1 spot in the MLS allocation ranking to acquire Guzan, who joins the expansion club on a multi-year contract.
The 32-year-old is currently the backup to Victor Valdes at Boro, and the English club will keep hold of Guzan until the current Premier League campaign is over. Though Boro's season ends in May, Guzan will likely make his Atlanta debut in July after the MLS transfer window opens.
