Bournemouth have appealed against the red card handed to Simon Francis during the 3-3 draw with Arsenal on Tuesday night.
Francis was sent off by referee Michael Oliver following a tackle on Aaron Ramsey in the second half of the Premier League encounter at the Vitality Stadium.
The straight red card brings with it a three-match ban should the appeal be unsuccessful.
Francis faces the prospect of missing the clash with Millwall in the FA Cup and meetings with Hull and Watford in the league.
