Bournemouth 1-0 Fulham: Cherries reignite push for Europe as Antoine Semenyo strikes inside the first minute to down fellow contenders

There are nights in football where nothing goes your way and in this showdown for the European qualification scraps, that realisation must have dawned on Fulham manager Marco Silva in the 57th minute when he tried to make a triple substitution.

It is usually straightforward enough – three on, three off, away we go – but confusion commenced this time. Fourth official Tim Robinson even looked like he might need to start counting to make sure the visitors had no more than 11 men on the pitch.

While we waited, Silva was venting his fury at Robinson, and this whole episode summed up what was a frustrating evening for those associated with Fulham.
