Benchmark: Giroud is Arsenal's greatest super sub ever

The France international not only rescued his side a point at Old Trafford but wrote his name into the club's history books, overtaking Nicklas Bendtner on substitute goals.

Olivier Giroud may be frustrated on the Arsenal bench but the France international has become the club's greatest ever super sub with his late equalizer against Manchester United on Saturday.

The striker's thumping header in 89th minute was his 10th goal as a substitute, meaning he has now scored more goals coming off the bench for Arsenal in the Premier League than any other player.

Giroud's goal takes him above Nicklas Bendtner and Kanu, who are joint second with nine goals, and Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott all with seven Arsenal goals as substitutes.
