BBC football pundit Trevor Sinclair arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and assault after woman pedestrian is hurt in car crash following police call to ex-Premier League star's home

Ex-Premier League star Trevor Sinclair has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, common assault and criminal damage after a woman pedestrian was hurt in a car crash.

Sinclair referenced a run-in with the police on Sunday evening, tweeting 'racist old bill all over the Sinclair residence again.'

Police were called to Sinclair's home but he had already left, driving off in a Tesla X60d. He was arrested after a crash in which a woman pedestrian was injured in Lytham, Lancashire.

The former England international, who now works as a pundit for the BBC, remains in police custody, say Lancashire Police.
