Legendary BBC commentator John Motson is to receive a special award at next month's Bafta awards as he nears the end of his 50-year career in sports broadcasting.
Motson commentated on his last match - Arsenal v Watford - for Radio 5 Live earlier this month but will continue to provide commentary for Match of the Day until the end of the season in May.
The 72-year-old has reported on over 2,000 matches for television and radio, including 10 World Cups and 29 FA Cup finals.
He said it will be an honour to receive the award at next month's ceremony, which will be held at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
