Bayern Munich speak to Brentford's David Raya about a £40m move to Germany, after the goalkeeper's proposed switch to Spurs fell through

Bayern Munich have held initial talks over a move for Brentford's £40million-rated goalkeeper David Raya, who saw a move to Tottenham fall through earlier this summer.

Raya, 27, has previously said he wants to leave the Bees in search of silverware - and the German giants are perennial winners of the Bundesliga, as well as high achievers on the European stage.

Meanwhile, Bayern are undergoing a revamp as manager Thomas Tuchel prepares for his first full season on the touchline.

Raya has one year left on his current deal with Brentford, and Thomas Frank's Bees are reluctant to sell their goalkeeper, as his sterling work between the posts helped them finish ninth in the Premier League last season.
