The Chelsea forward had a tough evening against the Hammers at the London Stadium as his side get dumped out of the EFL Cup in the fourth round.
Michy Batshuayi fluffed his lines in his audition to take Diego Costa's place in the Chelsea team on a regular basis after being bullied out of the game in the EFL Cup defeat by West Ham.
Costa, who is the current Premier League top scorer with seven goals in nine games, started the fourth-round tie on the bench as Batshuayi was given an opportunity to stake his claim by Antonio Conte.
