Morata’s header opened the scoring in the first half before two red cards reduced the sides to 10 men each at half-time after Molina and Lodi were both sent off. The second frame brought a similarly fiery but limp display from Getafe, who conceded a penalty at the 56th minute after Joao Felix was brought down inside the area. Morata failed to convert from the spot, seeing Soria save the chance with a wonderful dive - but it ultimately made no difference to the result.
