After weeks of dousing the rumours, Asante Kotoko have announced an official bid from Zambian club Zesco United for striker Songne Yacouba.
The 26-year-old Burkina Faso international’s future at the Kumasi-based side has been on the headlines, with several reports suggesting an imminent departure from the Porcupine Warriors.
However, the club had played down on the possibilities until on Monday when chief executive officer confirmed Zesco’s request.
“Zesco United have officially written to us about Songne Yacouba and we are going to reply them soon,” George Amoah told SportsworldGhana.com.
Yacouba joined Kotoko in January 2018, scoring two goals and providing five assists in the Porcupines’ Caf Confederation Cup recent campaign.
