Arsene Wenger rages against referees as he claims two offside goals saw his side lose to Manchester City: 'They're so well protected it's like a zoo'

Arsene Wenger has ripped into the performances of referees after witnessing his side fall to contentious defeat at title rivals Manchester City.

The Gunners boss felt both of Manchester City's goals should have been disallowed for offside as Arsenal surrendered the lead to lose 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Wenger was still raging with the officials after the match and stated: 'They're so well protected it's like a zoo,' insisting referees have almost no accountability for their errors.

Theo Walcott opened the scoring early on with the Gunners' only shot on target before goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling turned the game in City's favour.
