Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette bags a hat-trick for Lyon to show why he is in demand at the Emirates

Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette became the first player to score a hat-trick in the opening round of Ligue Un matches for nine years, as Lyon beat Nancy 3-0.

Lacazette, who has scored 54 goals in the last two seasons and been strongly linked with Arsenal this summer, struck twice in the first half before completing his treble in the dying seconds.

That goal nous is why Lyon are trying to squeeze £60million out of Arsenal for their star striker. Arsenal had a bid of £31.8m turned down for the French striker earlier this summer and Arsene Wenger insists he will not overpay for the 25-year-old.
