Jack Wilshere is expected to miss Arsenal's tour of Australia and China as he continues to recover from a broken leg.
The midfielder suffered a hairline fracture at the end of last season causing him to miss the final weeks of his loan spell at Bournemouth.
And Wilshere will not recover in time from the injury to be included in the travelling party next month.
The England international will undergo a scan to assess the fracture in the next few days where it is hoped he will be given the all clear to start training again.
