Arsenal handed boost in top four race with news Laurent Koscielny has not injured his tendon and will be absent for a 'shorter than expected' time

Arsenal have been handed a boost for the top-four challenge with the news captain Laurent Koscielny will be out for a shorter time than expected through injury.

The France defender went off injured in Arsenal's 2-2 draw against Manchester City last Sunday with fears and Arsene Wenger was fearing a lengthy absence through an Achilles injury.

But at a press conference on Friday, Wenger revealed Koscienly's scan presented the Gunners with some good news.
