Arsenal fan Piers Morgan says it's 'surprising' to see £88m Ukraine star Mykhailo Mudryk join Chelsea instead of the Gunners - because Blues fans still chant in support of former owner and one of Russia president Putin's 'best mates' Roman Abramovich

Piers Morgan has insisted it is 'surprising' Mykhailo Mudryk is signing for Chelsea rather than Arsenal.

Arsenal were considered the favourites to sign the £88million winger from Shakhtar Donetsk but the Blues hijacked their move and are closing in on completing the signing.

And incredulous Gunners fan Morgan questioned why Ukrainian star Mudryk would join Chelsea when Blues fans still chant in support of former owner Roman Abramovich - one of Russian president Vladimir Putin's 'best mates'.
