Manchester United could be left counting the cost of Andrea Pereira's costly mistake for Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores final against Palmeiras.
With the scores locked at 1-1 last Saturday, Pereira was caught in possession in his own half and Pameiras striker Deyverson capitalised to score the winner in the South American football's biggest club game.
It could hinder United with Flamengo having an option to turn the midfielder's loan move permanent with a £17m fee. Such a costly mistake could put his future at the Brazilian side in doubt with reports that they are now looking to talk to United about lowering the cost.
