Alan Pardew hints at dropping Sam Field in favour of experienced Grzegorz Krychowiak ahead of first West Brom game in charge

Alan Pardew has warned Sam Field he faces a fight to keep his place even after scoring his first senior goal for West Bromwich Albion.

Pardew said he would give Grzegorz Krychowiak the benefit of the doubt when assessing midfield options due to his experience of winning trophies at Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain.

Gary Megson dropped Krychowiak for Field in his two games in caretaker charge and the 19-year-old impressed, performing well at Wembley against Tottenham and finding the net in the draw with Newcastle.
