Alan Pardew has rejected claims he received £100,000 from ADO Den Haag for avoiding relegation.
The former Premier League manager found out on Friday that the Eredivise season had been scrapped amid the coronavirus pandemic with his side seven points from safety.
No one was crowned champion and no teams were promoted or relegated which meant Pardrew was due a reward.
'When I signed for ADO there was a bonus clause in my contract for avoiding relegation, however, the figure is not the one being reported by the press,' said Pardew, in a statement released on Sunday.
