Benik Afobe scored a brace in Stoke City’s 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in Saturday’s English Championship game at the Hillsborough Stadium.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee, making his seventh league appearance for Gary Rowett’s men, opened the scoring just two minutes into the clash.
Nigeria’s Oghenekaro Etebo and Senegal’s Mame Diouf combined well to feed Afobe who fired past goalkeeper Cameron Dawson.
The 25-year-old notched his second goal in the 22nd minute poking home from Steven Fletcher’s assist.
The Owls started a fightback before the break with Marco Matias halving the deficit.
With the game looking to end in favour of the visitors, Barry Bannan scored an 82nd-minute leveller to earn a point for Jos Luhukay’s men.
