Accrington Stanley chairman Andy Holt has launched an astonishing 1,105-word rant defending his decision to sack long-serving boss John Coleman and his assistant Jimmy Bell.
Coleman managed Stanley for 1,098 games in almost 25 years across two spells, the most recent of which lasted for nearly a decade prior to a brief 43-word statement on Sunday announcing their departure following a 4-0 defeat by Wrexham.
Many fans were dismayed by the nature of the dismissal - which came with Accrington in 16th and eight points off the play-offs - and hit out at Holt, who deleted his X account after the announcement.
