Thousands of knock-off football shirts have been detained at the border in the last two years, with Everton shirts proving a surprise hit with bootleggers.
Stats released by Border Force show 1,826 fake Everton shirts were stopped from entering the country in 2020 and 2021, making the Toffees the most counterfeited side in the Premier League.
The Red Devils came a distant second, with mock-up Man United shirts being snatched 886 times.
In third place was Liverpool, with 732 phoney phoenix emblazoned shirts detained by Border Force in the past two years.
In total, 5,898 counterfeit shirts from Premier League sides were stopped from coming into the country between January 2020 and November 2021, according to data accessed by gambling site freebets.
