Bangladesh managed to hold India to a draw in the SAFF Championship tie on Monday despite going down to 10 men...
India's SAFF Championship 2021 campaign went off to a disappointing start as a 10-man Bangladeshi side held them to a 1-1 draw in their opening match on October 4.
India, the highest-ranked team (107) in the competition, are the tournament favourites. But their start wasn't ideal as a 189th-ranked Bangladesh, who played much of the second half with a man down, managed to hold India to a 1-1 draw after scoring an equaliser late on.
The tie against Bangladesh was the fifth occasion in the last 11 years when the Blue Tigers played with a man advantage.
