Zach Collins is the Blazers’ guy, for better or worse. Apparently, he caught GM Neil Olshey’s eye, as he talked about the nerve-wracking process of trading up for him.
Collins did a little of his own talking on draft night. He proclaimed that “I don’t see why I can’t be Rookie of the Year.” Of course, this isn’t uncommon. For as much as Olshey talked about Collins’ aggressiveness, I’d expect nothing less from him.
He’s not the only one to ever go out on a limb and set a high bar for himself, either.
