Zach Collins Signs With Spurs

After the Portland Trail Blazers declined to tender the qualifying offer on Zach Collins’ team option, the free agent big man has signed with the San Antonio Spurs, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The deal is for three years and $22 million, which works out to be slightly more than the $7 million the Blazers would have had to pay Collins in order to keep him.

Collins has struggled to stay healthy during his tenure in the NBA. Collins first fractured his left foot during a play-in game versus the Memphis Grizzlies in the Orlando bubble in 2020.
