Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach David Vanterpool is leaving to be associate head coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Vanterpool interviewed for a role on head coach Ryan Saunders’ staff previously; he also interviewed for head coach with Minnesota before Saunders was hired full-time after serving as an interim head coach last season.
