Baltimore native and former Portland Trail Blazer Will Barton saw his hometown in pain on Tuesday afternoon. What was intended to be a peaceful protest three days prior exploded into riots as Baltimore residents mourned the passing of Freddie Gray, black victim of police negligence. Tensions grew and violence spread, but the peaceful majority worked hard to keep their community strong and united. Barton aided the effort by giving the beleaguered masses a place to calmly coalesce.
