Playing in the NBA is a rewarding experience, financially if not in other ways. Superstars, in particular, are starting to earn salaries that would have covered entire rosters just a couple decades ago. That’s an exciting development for players, sometimes irksome for fans whose investment lies less with the name on the back of the jersey, more with the name on the front.
