The Portland Trail Blazers made a splash on Day 1 of the 2024 NBA Draft, selecting Connecticut center Donovan Clingan with the 7th overall pick and trading guard Malcolm Brogdon and the 14th pick to Washington for small forward Deni Avdija. The festivities aren’t over, however! Round 2 of the draft commences today at 1:00 PM, Pacific. Portland holds the 34th and 40th picks overall, early selections in the second round.
The lead story of the day is going to be Bronny James, and whether he’ll be drafted. Talk about his famous father, LeBron, joining him has cooled down, but the son of the superstar will make news whether or not he’s selected.
