While the Portland Trail Blazers dropped Game 2 of their first-round series in the NBA playoffs to the Denver Nuggets 128-109, Damian Lillard marked quite the feat in the first half of the game, dropping eight 3-pointers, which tied Vince Carter’s playoff record, set in 2001. On ESPN’s The Jump, Carter had this to say about the achievement:
“When you’re in a zone, particularly from three, and I wasn’t shooting from the distance that Dame was shooting in that game. It was a great moment. I needed it. That’s what I needed to do for my team.
