The deadline for early contract extensions for players selected during the 2013 NBA Draft has come and gone, though not without a considerable amount of last-minute negotiating. Players such as Steve Adams, Rudy Gobert and Victor Oladipo came to terms on contract extensions with their respective teams in the final days before the October 31 cutoff. Players from the 2013 class who didn't sign early extensions, such as Trail Blazers center Mason Plumlee, can still return to their current teams, though those negotiations now have to wait until the 2017 offseason when those players, more often than not, become restricted free agents.
