Alongside U.S. soccer legend Megan Rapinoe, Portland Trail Blazers player development coach Pooh Jeter was inducted into the University of Portland’s Athletic Hall of Fame Friday night.
Jeter is also the assistant general manager of the Blazers’ G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. He played basketball at UP from 2002-2006, reaching No. 2 on the Pilots’ all-time scoring list with 1,708 career points.
After college, Jeter embarked on a long professional basketball career that included numerous stops overseas and in the NBA’s G League (called the “D-League” until 2017), as well as a one-year stint with the Sacramento Kings.
