The Portland Trail Blazers will retain shooting guard Pat Connaughton for the 2017-18 season, according to Jason Quick of CSNNW.

Technically Connaughton’s contract was not structured with an “option”, but a non-guaranteed season. By not cutting him, the Trail Blazers will be obligated to $1.47 million in salary, bringing their roster to 14 players and their cap total to $125.7 million.
