The Portland Trail Blazers will honor center Bill Walton during the team’s game with the Detroit Pistons on March 9th, 2025. Multiple media members disclosed the date of the remembrance on Wednesday evening. Walton passed away on May 27th of this year after living with cancer for several years. He played 10 seasons in the NBA over a 13-year span, his first four with the Blazers, who drafted him first overall out of UCLA in the 1974 NBA Draft.
