The Portland Trail Blazers have announced the hiring of Ronnie Burrell as assistant coach. Burrell served as an assistant with the Brooklyn Nets last season. Prior to that he worked in the G League, earning Coach of the Year honors with the Long Islan Nets in 2023.
Burrell’s hiring comes on the same day the Blazers lost the head coach of their own G League affiliate, Jim Moran, to the Sacramento Kings.
