Pierre Jackson has had a tougher road to the NBA than most. Being an under six-foot guard always makes it difficult, but injuries have also played a major role. He has yet to see any NBA minutes after being drafted 42nd overall by the Philadelphia 76ers and traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2013 draft. The Pelicans assigned him to the D-League’s Idaho Stampede and watched him average 29.1 points and 6.2 assists but never gave him a shot on their NBA roster.
In the 2014 draft, Jackson was traded back to the Sixers in exchange for Louisville’s Russ Smith who also played on the Trail Blazers’ Summer League team this year.
