The Portland Trail Blazers and the city of Portland are formulating a “bridge” agreement, extending the Moda Center arena partnership between the NBA franchise and the city through 2030. The city has finalized terms of the agreement and will consider formally adopting it during the city council meeting on Wednesday, August 7th.
A fact sheet available for download from the city explains the key tenets of the agreement. The major ones are as follows:
- The bridge agreement extends the Trail Blazers’ commitment to play in Portland through October 11, 2030. The Trail Blazers have the option for an additional five-year extension, through October 11, 2035.
