The Portland Trail Blazers and Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have broken an an NBA record for fewest combined turnovers in a game. Wednesday night’s 129-112 Portland victory featured just 7 turnovers between the teams.
Turnovers have only been compiled since the 1970-71 NBA season. Not to be outdone, the official records posted at NBA.com appear to have stopped updating in 2005. But a quick search at Wikipedia bolstered by another at basketball-reference indicates that before tonight, the record stood at 9 turnovers, reached twice.
