The Portland Trail Blazers picked up their third Summer League win Tuesday afternoon, defeating the Utah Jazz 92-89 in sudden-death double overtime in their final game of preliminary play at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Pat Connaughton hit a catch-and-shoot deep three pointer to secure the win in the sudden-death final period. Summer League invitee CJ Fair led the Blazers with 20 points in the victory.
Connaughton finally found his rythym offensively, scoring 19 points on 4-of-10 shooting from behind the arc. Noah Vonleh posted 10 points and 10 rebounds for his third consecutive double-double, while rookie Jake Layman scored a summer-high 11 points.
