The Portland Trail Blazers have assigned rookie forward Cliff Alexander and rookie guard Luis Montero to the NBA Development League’s Santa Cruz Warriors, it was announced today by president of basketball operations Neil Olshey.
Alexander, 20, is averaging 1.4 points (5-10 FG), 0.9 rebounds and 4.5 minutes in seven games this season. He signed with Portland as an undrafted free agent on July 24, after spending one collegiate season at the University of Kansas in 2014-15.
