Anyone who has watched Joe Pesci in Goodfellas knows that some days, it’s better not to show up at all than to walk through the door they open in front of you. The Portland Trail Blazers should have heeded that lesson before walking in Target Center to face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. Like Pesci’s final scene, it was over fast, but it wasn’t pretty. Minnesota sprang out to a 27-point lead over Portland, then set it in cruise control to earn a 127-102 victory.
Scoot Henderson led the Trail Blazers with 16 points.
