The 2024-25 NBA season is not expected to be a watershed for the Portland Trail Blazers. Their roster remains largely unchanged from the 2023-24 campaign. Odds against significant improvement are long; their learning curve remains steep.
A stable roster doesn’t imply a complete lack of progress, however. Familiarity provides incubation, a steady control environment against which to measure development. Even if the team doesn’t develop fully as a whole, individuals within it will grow...or not, as the case may be.
