Portland Trail Blazers Head Coach Terry Stotts threw the opening pitch in this afternoon’s baseball game between the Seattle Mariners and the Tampa Bay Rays. It was a pretty textbook side-arm toss, right over the plate. Not bad for a 57 year-old man who hasn’t played baseball since he was 11 years old. Throwing over 60 feet on-target can be a challenge for anyone who doesn’t play the sport.
Stotts wore no. 42 on his jersey, the number of Trail Blazers center Robin Lopez, who threw the opening pitch of a Mariners game last August.
