The Portland Trail Blazers earned a hard-fought win over the Golden State Warriors thanks to several key contributions, including 16 points and 23 rebounds from Hassan Whiteside. After the game, head coach Terry Stotts called Whiteside’s performance “impressive” and highlighted that the team needed Whiteside’s rebounding presence:
“We needed every one of them (rebounds). They hurt us on the offensive glass. We did a better job in the second half, but obviously 23 rebounds is pretty impressive.”
Whiteside is currently averaging 12.9 rebounds per game, which would be the second-highest mark of his career.
